As the Vice President of Member Development, Harper oversees the sales responsibilities for the Advantage team. Harper brings with him extensive experience in business development and sales management from a Fortune 1000 company. Harper is a proud alumnus of Clemson University. In his free time he enjoys college sporting events and the great outdoors.

In Patti’s 20+ year career, she has personally helped 100's of CEO’s, entrepreneurs, professional athletes, and authors build their brand and their business through content creation.

As Advantage’s Senior Marketing Strategist, Rusty speaks around the country teaching business leaders how to grow their business through Authority Marketing and works with the Advantage Marketing Team to ensure Members succeed in their business growth goals. He is the co-author of Mastering the New Media Landscape: Embrace the Micromedia Mindset, which debuted at #2 on the Austin American Statesman bestseller list and his commentary on the changing world of PR and Marketing has been featured in Forbes, Inc. Magazine, and many other top media outlets. A member of EO Austin, Rusty lives just west of Austin in Spicewood with his wife, Paige and three children, Luke, Brady, and Sadie, and their rowdy lab, Charlie.

As Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Bea has the privilege of telling the story of the story tellers! She is responsible for both the Advantage Media Group and ForbesBooks branding, messaging, and content marketing. Prior to joining Advantage, Bea served as the Executive Director of The Creative Coast, a regional non-profit building the innovation economy. Bea is a frequent keynote speaker on entrepreneurship and business growth. She has consulted with hundreds of startups and successfully built and exited her own international company SourceHarbor. Bea holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, is a summa cum laude graduate of Emory University, and is one of South Carolina's prestigious Liberty Fellows of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

He enjoys beach days, backyard cookouts, warmer winters, and exploring Charleston with his wife, Rylee.

As Business Systems Manager, Brian oversees all the business systems used at Advantage, while troubleshooting technological issues along the way. He also helps implement processes company-wide to make the Sales & Marketing teams more efficient and effective. He is an Alpharetta, GA, native who joins us from the local organization, PeopleMatter. Brian went to the College of Charleston and enjoys spending time at the beach and playing golf.

Originally from Massachusetts, Corie joins Advantage following a brief but extraordinary stint in paradise. In the Virgin Islands, her work in hotel sales fostered the exceptional customer service skills she exhibits for the Advantage team. While Corie wears many hats Monday through Friday, communicating regularly with Members on their branding and ensuring nothing but quality, she dons only a sailor’s cap on weekends, as co-owner of an inshore fishing company with her husband Mike and their first mates, Bongo and Marley--two rambunctious, water-loving pups.

As a part of the Corporate Marketing Team, Courtney secures speaking and event opportunities for Advantage. She loves getting the word out on the power of Authority Marketing through organizing webinars and podcasts with our partners as well. With a Bachelor's degree in Media Communication from Roger Williams University, this lifelong Massachusetts resident moved to Charleston to escape the snow. In her free time, she finds her zen practicing yoga, dabbling in guitar, writing, and smiling at strangers.

Eland's background in journalism, ghostwriting, and magazine editing took him from George Washington University to the frozen tundra of Mongolia. He and his wife are currently enjoying thawing out in Charleston!

Jonathan came to Advantage with two years of business development experience, and now works with medical and financial professionals specifically. With New England in his blood, he loves outdoor activities including: golf, tennis, hiking, and anything involving the water.

As VP of Authority Marketing and Co-Chair of Entrepreneurial Innovation, Keith supports our Member Acquisition Team. He brings to the table the shared experiences of being a business owner when helping other professionals position themselves for growth. Prior to joining Advantage, Keith was an entrepreneur and forward- thinking Project Management professional. At 23, he started his first company where he built a 10-year track record of success overseeing all phases of multi-million dollar construction and infrastructure projects for commercial, government, industrial, and private-sector clients. Since joining Advantage, Keith has helped dozens of business professionals in the fields of finance, medicine, law, speaking, coaching, consulting, and general entrepreneurship to build an Authority brand and systematically position them as the unquestioned leaders in their field.

As an Account Manager, Kirby strives to walk Authors through each step of their publishing process, seeing projects through their lifecycle while ensuring success and efficiency, then ushers them into the wonderful world of marketing where he works with them to create a strategy that fits their goals and personal brand. Kirby comes to us from AMC Networks in New York and is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. In his free time, he loves surfing, fishing, and traveling.

She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and a proud, life-long Charlestonian.

She comes to Advantage from the public education world where she grew her communication and customer-focused skills as a teacher. Miranda graduated from the University of Southern California and moved to Charleston with her husband. She loves cheering on her favorite sports teams, with the Dodgers and Trojans holding a special place in her heart!

She began her career at Advantage fine-tuning her branding skills for bestselling authors like Jon Acuff, Geoff Colvin, Denise Lee Yohn, and Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger. A self-proclaimed nomad, her journey has taken her far and wide. Melanie has lived in Hawaii, Germany and most recently, Nevada. Maybe it’s the breakfast tacos or the wealth of strange and creative residents, but Austin feels like home. She loves exploring the beautiful trails and parks with superpup, Xander (#xanderdoesatx).

A business major graduate of Santa Clara University, Patti worked many years in the fitness and golf industry, where she was General Manager of several clubs. Though a native Californian, Patti considers Austin her home, enjoying the great outdoors, food, and music the city has to offer.

Wes has been involved in numerous campaigns for top businesses and brands including Columbia University, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Share Fair Nation, and many others. Wes was born and raised in Austin, but his journey takes him all over the world. Wes’s biggest passions include learning, listening, and serving others. If by chance, you catch Wes by himself, it is usually with a book and coffee in hand.

Our incredible Publicity Manger, Shelby, has been with Advantage since 2011 and overseen dozens of campaigns, including generating media coverage for bestsellers like The Confidence Code by leading media personalities Katty Kay and Claire Shipman, How the World Sees You and Fascubate by Hall-of-Fame speaker Sally Hogshead, and the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. She has secured media coverage in top outlets like Associate Press, Chicago Tribune, NPR, and more. Shelby graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in English. A native Austinite, Shelby enjoys seeing live music and practicing yoga.

Sara recently moved from the Lone Star state to the sunshine soaked shores of Charleston. When she's not exploring her new home, you can find her jamming to country music, cooking, or playing fetch with her tabby cat, Barney.

A Fulbright Scholar, Arthur holds a degree in International Business and Sociology from Trinity College, Dublin, and a Fulbright Scholarship from Indiana University. He is a passionate and innovative marketing strategist and Advantage's local Irishman!

With more than 10 years of marketing experience, Laura has had the privilege of overseeing online content creation and strategy at a number of organizations, growing their overall presence and impact. She has worked extensively in the authority marketing, nonprofit and media spaces. At Advantage, Laura manages content driven, trackable marketing campaigns for our Members with a focus on social media engagement and increased followers. She is an expert on what types of content resonate with audiences on specific platforms. In her spare time, Laura loves to create organizing videos with a mix of DIY and vintage elements.

As the Marketing Copywriter, Emily writes creative content for our blogs, emails, website, Advantage Magazine, and more! With a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Indiana University, this lifelong Hoosier is looking forward to spending warmer winters with her husband and trusty pup Frankie. In her free time, she enjoys taking in the Charleston food scene and visiting historic sites.

He is an avid reader and music lover, and loves most of all to spend time with his wife Rachel and two dogs, Gus and Charlie.

Prior to joining the Advantage team, Keith was a freelance writer and ghostwriter, specializing in economics and politics. He had the pleasure of ghostwriting part of Steve Forbes’ book, Reviving America, and was the head editor of a popular news website. Keith hails from Connecticut, where he graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut.

When not at work, Justin can be found helping his wife, Heather, run her bridal enterprise, spending time with his four children, growing his personal platform, Daddy Saturday, or at the beach.
