Gene Sambataro DDS, FAGD, has been a leader in the field of dentistry for more than thirty-five years. Dr. Sambataro’s holistic approach to dentistry is rooted in an understanding of the interconnectedness of oral and whole-body health. As director and clinician of his practice, the Julian Center for Comprehensive Dentistry, Dr. Sambataro focuses on healing the mind, body, and spirit, with an emphasis on treating sleep-disordered breathing issues, like sleep apnea.
Dr. Sambataro attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and began his career practicing traditional dentistry, pioneering treatments for TMD (jaw joint disorders) and sleep apnea. He is now a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health, the Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Sleep and Breathing Academy, National Sleep Foundation, Maryland Sleep Society, International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine, Holistic Dental Association, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, and the International Dental Implant Association. He is also a member and fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
