Chris propels Team Member satisfaction at Advantage|ForbesBooks, providing the systems and resources needed for our team to thrive. He aids in the recruitment of each employee, and continues to oversee the quality of their experience throughout the lifespan of employment. He handles on-boarding and employee relation management, while ensuring that the team has access to enriching professional development opportunities. Chris understands that there is an art to matching job role and skill set. In collaboration with the Director of Team Member Acquisition, he frequently reassesses the needs of the company with regard to new hires, new job roles, and the list of competencies each role demands. His true passion lies in developing the team through training opportunities, strategizing to support the team’s continued growth, and finding ways to make work FUN. His role demands a background in adult education and unsurpassed communication skills. He deeply values the ability to mentor Team Members and help them draft their career path within the company.
Previously, Chris held a number of roles at the corporate level of Krispy Kreme. What began as simply “delivering donuts at night so [he] could get married,” evolved into an illustrious career in global training and organizational development. In his final three years with the company, he led the Eastern Region of the US. Over 1,000 employees looked to Chris for direction and leadership. Over the course of 16 years with the company, he held multiple positions throughout Operations and Training & Development. This afforded him a comprehensive perspective to help people reach their full potential. Though Chris pursued his education in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University, he will always be a Georgia Bulldog at heart. “I work daily to lead with a servant’s heart and know that talented people working together, can accomplish anything. I joined Advantage|ForbesBooks in the hopes that I can have a positive impact on the growth of the team and help lead it to be THE place to work in South Carolina,” Chris explains. “I am energized by our amazing team and am really looking forward to seeing how we can proactively exceed the needs of all of our members.” Chris has been married to his wife Kristal for 18 years and is the father of two boys, aged 14 and 11.
