Executive Assistant to the CEO
As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, Deborah Ridgill provides logistical support and office coordination for the organization, direct assistance to the CEO, along with successful execution of all Member facing events and special initiatives driven by the CEO.
Before joining us at ForbesBooks, Deborah worked at a myriad of high-profile companies. She spent eight years as Senior Assistant to the CEO/Principal at IMI Resorts, a high-end luxury resort sales and marketing consulting firm with over $900 million in annual sales. She also spent seven years as Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Golf Division at TaylorMade Adidas Corporation. Deborah also worked for three years as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and as Business Manager for the Upstate South Carolina Alliance, a not for profit economic development agency committed to assisting growing companies expand their business in upstate South Carolina.
Deborah also served on the board of the University of South Carolina College of Hospitality and Sport Management for three years, founding and elevating the Garnet Classic Jacket Golf Tournament into a premier event that raised over $1,000,000 for student scholarships.
Originally born in Columbia, South Carolina, Deborah states that Charleston has always felt like home ever since she was a toddler. She finally made it here eight years ago! She is a born and bred Gamecock fan all the way, struggling to fit in with an avid Clemson boss.
In the free time that she does have, Deborah is a voracious reader, avid gardener, supporter of the arts, and spending time on or near the water. She also attended culinary and loves to cook and entertain. “It’s my therapy,” she says.
