Broadcast Media Manager
Maureen Famiano came to News & Experts with over 25 years of experience in television. She enjoys teaching and coaching clients to be the best they can be when on radio or TV, and prides herself on looking for stories that make a difference and finding the unique angle. Maureen began her career as an on air-reporter in college and continued that for 10 years. She then moved into producing, creating content for news, overseeing special projects like election coverage and hurricane coverage. She eventually moved away from news producing and on to entertainment/information shows. For many years she was Executive Producer on the nationally syndicated show “Daytime” at NBC in Tampa, and was Executive Producer of “Great Day Tampa Bay” on CBS in Tampa. During that time, Maureen worked with many celebrities including Jimmy Fallon, Jack Hanna, Paula Deen and Jane Seymour.
She also worked with reality show stars from The Voice, American Idol & America’s Got Talent. She recently covered the American Country Music Awards in Nashville on the red carpet. Always looking for great stories, Maureen even launched a viral video of killer whales in a boat wake that drew upwards of 20 million views on Facebook, and was broadcast on “The Today Show” and “Ellen.” When she’s not working, Maureen is a dedicated mother to her family, which includes two kids. She’s truly a sports mom, juggling weekends at her daughter’s college softball games and her son’s baseball competitions. She is a huge cheerleader and quite passionate about being there for them, and encouraging them to be the best they can be. She also loves traveling! She lived in Japan and Germany as a military child, and lived in London during her college years. She loves to find new places to explore, including going on a camel ride in the Sahara desert as part of an African safari. She loves adventure, too, such as zip-lining, adventure courses and mud runs.
